What you pay for

Two parts: setup, then outreach.

One-time · 2 to 4 weeks

Setup

Everything that has to be right before the first email goes out.

  1. Understand the company

An intake on the company, the round, traction and what has already been tried.

  2. Shape the narrative

The story investors will hear, built around the company's strongest selling points.

  3. Expert feedback on your materials

A review of your deck and company materials, with the fixes that matter most to investors, ranked.

  4. Align on messaging

How the company is presented to each type of investor, agreed with you before outreach is written.

  5. Match the investors

Three passes over Rupert's investor database:

    • Every fund that fits your stage, sector, geography and type of financing
    • Your funded competitors, and who invested in them
    • The funds that look most like those investors
  6. Approve and go live

You review the investor list, the strategy and the messaging. Nothing goes live until you confirm.

Matching runs on Rupert's investor database.

Outreach

From go-live, month to month.

  • Outreach from your own inbox

Investors hear from you, not from an agency.

  • Written for the investor

Every critical email is written for the specific investor receiving it.

  • Follow-up on a schedule

Conversations don't stall because no one had time to send the second email.

  • Replies sorted for you

Replies reach your inbox, and your portal shows which ones are real interest.

  • Your relationships

Every investor relationship stays yours, during the engagement and after it.

See how it works for the full process.

Why no success fee

A success fee pays for the close. A flat fee pays for the work.

A success fee rewards whoever moves fastest, at whatever terms, and can keep costing you after the engagement ends if there's a tail period. A flat fee pays for the research, the writing and the follow-up, which is what decides whether the right investors hear about your company. More on capital raising fees and advisors vs. brokers.

Model How you pay Who does the work Who owns the relationships
Success-fee advisor or placement agent Often a retainer plus a percentage of the capital raised Advisor runs outreach, often under their own name Often routed through the advisor
Fundraising consultant on retainer Monthly or project fee Advice and materials; you run most of the outreach You
Self-serve software (database or CRM) Subscription You research, write and send everything You
Rupert Setup fee, then a flat monthly fee. No percentage of the raise Rupert researches, writes and runs follow-up; you approve the approach You, from your own inbox

Why doesn't Rupert publish its prices?
